Res. 650 - The rule providing for consideration of the bill H.R. 4617 - SHIELD Act Republican P.Q. - If the Previous Question is defeated, Republicans will amend the rule to suspend impeachment related matters until the NDAA and Department of Defense Appropriations are signed into law
H.R. 4617 - SHIELD Act (Sponsored by Rep. Zoe Lofgren / House Administration Committee) Republican MTR - This Motion to Recommit would amend the bill and replace it with H.R. 4736, the “Honest Elections Act,” a bill authored by Ranking Member Rodney Davis that would strengthen the Foreign Agent Registration Act, modernize online political ad disclosure, and provide further protections against foreign interference in U.S. elections. The Motion to Recommit also includes the DETER Act, bipartisan legislation that makes a foreign national who interferes with a U.S. election inadmissible to, or deportable from, the United States.
