Karen Bass / Judiciary Committee) Republican MTR - This Motion to Recommit would extend VAWA so that victims of domestic violence receive the attention and protection they need while Congress negotiates a longer reauthorization. Democrats are responsible for allowing VAWA to lapse and have voted twice already against a clean extension of this important program, preferring instead to use it as a partisan political weapon.
S.J.Res. 7 - To direct the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities in the Republic of Yemen that have not been authorized by Congress (Closed Rule, One Hour of Debate) (Sponsored by Sen. Bernie Sanders / Foreign Affairs Committee) Republican MTC - This Motion to Commit would amend the bill and add language that it is in the national security interest of the United States to condemn and oppose the Global Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement (BDS) targeting Israel and all efforts to delegitimize Israel.
