Republicans’ (Hudson-NC) is the “Secure Every School and Protect our Nation’s Children (STOP II) Act.” This bill would fund school resource officers and mental health counselors, close gaps in school security, and strengthen active shooter preparedness efforts, with all costs being offset by unused state and local COVID funds.
